When your
car goes over a bump in the road, the suspension flexes to absorb the bump.
During this "flex" the top of the wheels go up in the wheel wells and in towards
the center of the car. They travel near the center of the car to maintain
stability during forward motion and to prevent the tires from scrubbing the lips
of your fenders.
When you lower
your car, the suspension stays in a "flexed" position. This lowers the vehicle,
but the top of the wheels stay facing towards the center of the car. Camber Kits
replace specific components of your suspension allowing adjustment of the wheels
back to factory position. Having the proper camber allows for longer tire life
and better handling. Camber kits will usually allow up to 3 degrees (+/-) of
adjustment.
