The Boost Controller
manipulates the air pressure that opens and closes the Wastegate. This allows
for more Boost Pressure from your Turbo to enter intake pipe
and create more horsepower. There are two types of boost controllers. Manual
Boost Controllers are turned by hand to actively bleed the pressure from the
Wastegate. Electronic Boost Controllers allow the user to change the Wastegate
pressure remotely from a control unit via a Servo. The Servo has a faster
response time that can manipulate boost while accelerating or driving through
different gears. Some Electronic units "learn" how you
drive and create boost maps for maximum efficiency. The GReddy Profec B Spec 2
Boost Controller also has a Remote Steering Wheel Switch Option that allows you
to turn high boost on instantly, kind of like a nitrous shot.
